Chemsolv is seeking a Chemical Production Operator in Roanoke, VA to support chemical production, warehouse operations, and material handling in a fast-paced industrial environment.

- Monday-Friday; beginning at 7:00am with a 1-hour lunch.
- This is a production-based role where schedules may extend beyond 5:00 PM depending on daily production needs.
- This schedule may vary based on the company’s business needs.
This hands-on role includes handling drums and totes, staging materials for production, assisting laboratory sampling, and supporting plant operations while working outdoors in a safety-focused environment.
- Load and unloadchemical drums and totes
- Stage pallets, drums, and totes for production
- Assist with chemical blending and plant operations
- Transport samples to the quality control laboratory
- Label and identify chemical containers according to safety standards
- Wear the proper safety equipment
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Follow all safety rules and guidelines at all times.
- Be capable of lifting 50 to 100 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder on railcars or tankers
- Have a strong work ethic and organizational skills
- This position may occasionally require the use of a respirator when handling certain materials. For the respirator to properly fit and seal, employees must be clean shaven in the area where the mask seals to the face
- Be able to multi-task
- Be able to follow directions/policy/procedures as instructed
- Be able to work outside in the elements
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Have reliable mode of transportation
- Be able to pass a drug screen, including Marijuana
- Industrial / manufacturing experience preferred but not required
