1.5” Extruder Operator – Weekends
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Friday – Sunday with some schedule flexibility required; overtime is also available. This role works primarily on weekends while an additional shift differential applies for night and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities- Read the set‑up sheet and use the file name to determine product, print specifications, machine adjustments, material requirements, and any special customer requirements.
- Set up, run, and continuously monitor the 1” ½” extrusion line for all standard products.
- Observe, measure, and inspect products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with set‑up sheet specifications.
- Apply print to cables using jet printers as required.
- Complete all job‑specific documentation accurately.
- Clean equipment to prevent contamination as required.
- Identify defects and problems during production, assist in solving them, or notify a supervisor when necessary; complete non‑conformity paperwork for all defects.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience or training (preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery.
- Proficiency with tools and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and follow basic instructions and implement quality procedures.
- Strong math and handwriting skills; accurate documentation.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Attentive to detail and capable of resolving issues quickly.
Employees regularly stand, walk, and lift or move up to 50 lbs. Vision corrected to 20/20 and good color vision are required. Normal hearing is required. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals is common. Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $17.30 – $31.05 per hour.
Shift differential: 10% additional for eligible night and weekend shifts.
