Overview
Segra is seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Manager for Blacksburg/Christiansburg/Roanoke, VA, to join us in a full-time capacity.
Location RequirementThe work arrangement for this role requires 5 days a week in the office.
Role OverviewThe Construction Manager provides leadership to the network delivery team and offers technical expertise to Sales, OSP, and PMO groups. The CM ensures standardized and improved processes are maintained during all phases of circuit delivery to new customers. The CM establishes relationships to support new markets and acts as the primary interface with local jurisdictions for franchises, utilities for pole attachment and conduit agreements, state one call systems, DOH DOT, railroad companies, and other utility owners.
The CM serves as a single point of contact for reporting on multiple programs for work in their assigned areas and ensures projects are completed safely, accurately, timely, and efficiently.
- Provide leadership to the network delivery team and collaborate with Sales, OSP, and PMO groups.
- Maintain standardized processes and procedures across circuit delivery to new customers.
- Build relationships and infrastructure to support new markets.
- Interface with local jurisdictions, utilities, and regulatory bodies for permits, pole attachments, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for reporting on multiple programs within assigned areas.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Five years of technical experience in Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
- Knowledge of utility construction in aerial, underground, or fiber splicing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Earth, EBS, Site Tracker, M4 CV fiber mapping, WFM, and ICMS
- Understanding of OSHA rules, NESC, and Federal, State, and local regulations
- Safe driving record
- Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects across geographies
- Technical expertise in fiber optic systems and construction methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range$74,340 - $92,925
