Automatic Machining Technician

Join our team in Roanoke, VA. We are looking for a skilled individual with experience operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines in a high-speed manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precision components within tight tolerances, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the continuous operation of machines across different shifts.

• Set up, oversee, and control multi-spindle automatic screw machines for consistent and efficient operation
• Produce parts according to blueprints, adhering to quality, dimensional, and tolerance requirements
• Inspect and measure parts using precision tools throughout production to ensure compliance
• Adjust machine parameters, speeds, feeds, cams, and tools as necessary to maintain quality and productivity
• Maintain and replace tooling, drills, taps, inserts, and cooling systems as needed
• Load, monitor, and replenish bar stock to prevent production delays
• Troubleshoot machine problems and conduct minor repairs to minimize downtime
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation (log sheets, inspection records, etc.)
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized following 5S and safety guidelines
• Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers during shift changes

• Prior experience operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines is essential
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Basic mechanical understanding and knowledge of machining principles (speeds, feeds, tooling)
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational machining training preferred
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple machines simultaneously

• Day and night shift opportunities are available
• Night shift differential pay is provided

• $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience
• Additional compensation for night shift work
