Powder Coat Painter

Roanoke, VA Shift: 2nd Shift Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts and products while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to all safety procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, masking, sanding, and inspecting materials.
- Apply powder coating to parts and products using spray equipment and established procedures.
- Ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality of coated products.
- Load and unload materials from paint lines, racks, and curing ovens.
- Inspect finished products for quality, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and work areas.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Previous powder coating, industrial painting, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating powder coating equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
