Community Program Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and resourceful Community Program Coordinator to manage and develop impactful initiatives within the East London area. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing community programs that address local needs, foster engagement, and promote social well-being. You will work closely with community members, local organizations, and stakeholders in the Eastern Cape to ensure the success and sustainability of these programs.

• Plan, organize, and execute community outreach programs and events.
• Coordinate with volunteers, staff, and partner organizations to ensure program delivery.
• Develop program materials, including promotional content and informational resources.
• Monitor program activities, collect feedback, and evaluate outcomes against set objectives.
• Manage program budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and beneficiaries.

• A degree or relevant qualification in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in program coordination or management, preferably within a community setting.
• Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and build consensus.
• Familiarity with the East London community and its needs is advantageous.
