Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X‑rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Preferred experience in long‑term care or a skilled nursing facility.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
- DEA license.
- CPR BCLS/BLS certification.
- Master's Degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience in pulmonology or respiratory care.
- Experience documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.) – training provided.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand, walk, and work on feet 6–8 hours per day.
