Cath Lab RN – CVT (Open)

RN Cath Lab Tech opportunity for a Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. This role includes a sign‑on bonus up to $30,000 and a relocation allowance. To accept, a call is required with a 30‑minute response time.

The position is based at 1906 Belleview Ave SE, Roanoke, with the Cath Lab located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower. The facility serves as a 24/7 STEMI program and an ACC‑accredited Chest Pain center.

• Assist physicians with direct patient care during catheterization, interventional, and device implant procedures in scrub, circulator, and monitor positions.
• Prepare patients and advanced equipment for invasive procedures; scrub and assist physician during procedures.
• Advise on procedural strategies and supply needs; assist in emergent conditions.
• Serve as patient advocate, advising on sedation and pain medication for comfort.
• Operate digital X‑ray equipment and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Monitor and interpret EKG and hemodynamics; input and manage procedural data.
• Perform basic data manipulation to obtain shunt calculation and cardiac outputs.
• Participate in procedure team functions such as transport, sheath removal, closure site care, and informed consent.
• Maintain procedural sedation according to institutional policies and maintain credential to monitor sedation.
• Document all activities in compliance with ACC, sedation, pain management, and medication policies.

• TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman/Amulet, PFO closures, high‑risk PCI, rotational atherectomy, shockwave IVL, IABP, Impella, etc.
• Diagnostic, interventional, and structural procedures including LVAD, advanced heart failure, and peripheral interventions.

• Graduated from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in Virginia.
• AHA BLS‑HCP certification; AHA‑ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Successful completion of cardiac monitoring course.
• Experience in critical care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in patient transport, sheath removal, closure site care, and documentation.

• Lift, bend, push, pull, reach, stand, walk, and wear a 15‑lb lead apron during procedures.
• Maintain insertion site pressure for at least 30 minutes for hemostatic seal.
