What You’ll Do

The Clinic Practice Manager I provides a positive, rewarding and service‑oriented work environment supporting high quality patient‑centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, score‑card, and process improvement goals and objectives. Reports to a Practice Director. Manages the operations of physician practices. Monitors and implements new health care services and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Develops and implements actionable work plans with measurable outcomes, continually assessing and reallocating resources to meet demands.
  • Responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day operations of a unit or department in relation to score‑card goals and objectives. Organizes, manages, and controls departmental functions and resources in a collaborative and participative manner for optimal performance.
  • Proactively identifies and implements cost containment initiatives.
  • Coordinates resources to provide adequate staffing and demonstrates effective team‑building and leadership skills. Establishes day‑to‑day priorities and directs staff task assignments, facilitating team problem‑solving processes.
  • Holds self and team accountable for maintaining the highest possible performance standards to serve patients, employees and physicians.
  • Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians, management team and other health care providers.
  • Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction, implementing programs to continuously enhance satisfaction.
  • Ensures effective and timely delivery of high‑quality patient‑centered services. Seeks opportunities for growth and improvement, employing project‑management principles to accomplish goals.
  • Communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in an ongoing, timely, and accurate manner. Establishes forums for open, honest, two‑way communication.
  • Establishes and continually evaluates unit processes and reporting procedures to achieve goals, revising as needed.
  • Inspires enthusiasm and builds support for projects. Attracts, selects, develops, and retains qualified employees, while implementing developmental planning to expand employee skills.
  • Creates a safe working environment and provides opportunities for professional growth, including in‑service programming and performance appraisal processes.
  • Plans for growth, staffing, services, educational opportunities and effective performance improvement in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting standards (The Joint Commission, CLIA, COLA, OSHA, AAAHC, etc).
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.

Experience: 3 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

License/Certification/Registration: In some offices an RN/BSN license may be required due to staffing model and grant specifications.

Other

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrates excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority‑setting, organizational and work competency skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); ability to use electronic medical records.
