Full‑time Cath Lab Tech (Open) at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a Magnet‑designated Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. Primarily day/evening shifts with on‑call requirements. Competitive sign‑on bonus of up to $30,000 and relocation stipend offered.

The Cath Lab is an ACC‑accredited Chest Pain Center and ACE‑accredited PCI Center serving a 24/7 STEMI program. We perform TAVRs, Mitral Clips, Watchman/Amulet, PFO closures, and operate as a high‑volume PCI center within the Crystal Springs Tower.
What We DoProcedures and technologies include cardiac/hemodynamic monitoring, continuous trans‑venous pacing, intra‑aortic balloon pump, ImPELLA, Shockwave IVL, Rotablator, CSI Atherectomy, Coroflow MVD, diagnostic/interventional PCI, structural interventions (TAVR, PFO/ASD, para valvular leak, LAA closure, tricuspid procedures), LVAD/advanced heart failure, and peripheral procedures.
We also participate in clinical trials such as the BASELINE, ENCIRCLE, CLASPII, PARADIGM, ARTISAN, SAFESTEMI, ProtectIV, and WARRIOR trials.
ResponsibilitiesThe CVT I‑RN assists physicians during catheterization or interventional procedures in scrub, circulator, and monitor roles. Key duties include:
- Prepare patients and advanced equipment for invasive procedures
- Assist and scrub physicians during procedures
- Advise on procedural strategies and supplies
- Manage urgent situations and provide patient advocacy
- Assist with sedation and pain medication, including documentation and monitoring
- Operate digital X‑ray equipment and administer medications under physician supervision
- Monitor and interpret EKG and hemodynamic data
- Maintain quality documentation for ACC, conscious sedation, and medication administration
- Participate in patient transport, sheath removal, and closure site care
- Contribute to informed consent, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- AHA BLS‑HCP certification; must complete AHAACLS within six months of hire
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Successful completion of cardiac monitoring course and assistant‑scrub competency required
- Orientation and competency validation required upon hire
