Full time. Shift: Day/Evening/Night (United States). Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke. Requisition Number: R160259. Clinical area:
Cardiac Surgery (CVOR).

• Provide direct nursing care for patients in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR), including perioperative and postoperative care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for patients of all ages.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Deliver patient and family education in a timely manner and document educational activities.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional healthcare team, including physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to develop and execute age‑specific interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Act as patient advocate, protector of patient rights, and provider of psychological/social/cultural support.
• Participate in performance‑improvement activities and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Serve as a role model for clinical practice, mentoring and orienting new staff and providing constructive feedback.
• Manage resources, establish priorities, and modify the environment to meet patient care needs and improve patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit, hospital, and system activities to facilitate staff input in decision‑making and practice improvement.
• Respond to on‑call duties within 30 minutes when required.
• May receive a sign‑on bonus and relocation allowance if qualified.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or eligible to sit for the Virginia RN licensure examination.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia (or eligible to obtain it).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS‑HCP) required; may need ACLS, PALS, or NRP depending on specific unit assignments.
• Proficient in using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, high‑acuity environment and thrive in a team‑oriented setting.

• Compensation ranging from $33.52 to $50.28 per hour.
