The Clinic Practice Manager I creates a positive, service‑oriented work environment that supports high‑quality, patient‑centered care and achieves fiscal, scorecard, and process improvement goals.
Responsibilities- Report to a Practice Director and manage the day‑to‑day operations of a physician practice unit.
- Apply financial concepts and analysis to decision‑making; develop actionable work plans with measurable outcomes.
- Reallocate resources continuously to meet service demands and maintain scorecard objectives.
- Oversee staffing, coordinate resources, and ensure adequate coverage for the department.
- Lead, build, and mentor a high‑performing team; provide coaching, performance appraisals, and professional development opportunities.
- Implement cost‑containment initiatives and continuously improve processes.
- Maintain productive relationships with physicians, management, nursing, allied health staff, patients, and vendors.
- Monitor and evaluate customer (patient) satisfaction and implement programs to enhance it.
- Use project‑management principles to anticipate change, set priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards such as The Joint Commission, CLIA, COLA, OSHA, and AAAHC.
- Possibly provide direct patient care as required by the unit.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
- RN/BSN license may be required in certain offices.
- Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, communication, team‑leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and electronic medical records.
Salary range: $63,377.60 – $95,076.80 (based on qualifications and experience). Benefits and pension plan information are not included in this range.
