Reports To

Nurse Manager; all staff nurses report directly or indirectly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Job Purpose

In this fast‑paced nursing position, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will render professional nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). You will also direct and supervise other team members and support the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
  • Current Texas nursing license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Additional certifications as required by department.
Related Work Experience & Other Skills
  • Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards.
  • Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program.
  • Ability to handle confidential material.

  • Physical Factors (percentage of time): 20% standing stationary, 60% standing/moving, 15% sitting, 2% climbing, 20% bending, 2% kneeling, 1% crawling, 30% reaching, 90% handling, 90% talking.
  • Hearing: 100% normal noise level.
  • Hazardous Conditions: 5% respiratory irritants, 50% skin irritants, 50% allergic irritants, 50% wet work – hands, 1% wet work – feet, 50–75% use of electrical equipment, 25–50% use of sharp utensils, 80% exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Carrying: 50% up to 10 lbs, remaining 50% up to 100+ lbs.
  • Lifting: 45% up to 10 lbs, remaining up to 100+ lbs.
  • Push/Pull: 10% up to 10 lbs, remaining up to 100+ lbs.
  • Environmental Demands: 100% indoor, 0% outdoor, 0% hot or cold environment.
