Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient urologic care including patient evaluations, follow-ups, and treatment planning
- Manage common urologic conditions (e.g., BPH, kidney stones, urinary tract conditions, prostate concerns)
- Perform office-based procedures as appropriate (training provided if needed)
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and support staff
- Participate in patient education and care coordination
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic)
Full-time, Monday-Friday; primarily 8-5. On call up to 2-3 times per week.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification
- 2 years APP experience preferred;
Urology experience preferred

What We Require- Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program or Accredited Physician Assistant Program. - Experience:
Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred. - Licensure, certification, and/or registration:
License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. - Life Support:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NPR, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position. - Other
Minimum Qualifications:
Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic’s malpractice insurance carrier.
Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
