Patient Care Tech - Ambulatory Surgery Unit - FLEX

You will provide nursing care that includes taking the patient's blood pressure, checking their oxygen levels and temperature, as well as assisting patients with bathing, meals, toileting, ambulation, and other basic needs.

The Patient Care Tech/Nursing Assistant role can include one-on-one care of patients on suicide or safety precautions.

4 West Ambulatory Surgery Unit is a medical surgical/outpatient level of care. Care of post-operative patients in ambulatory surgery setting. This position is a FLEX position.

As part of the health care team, the Patient Care Technician performs basic clerical and technical clinical services relating to the care, cleanliness, safety, and comfort for patients of all ages. Provides quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
If employee is working in a critical access facility, a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.

Other

Minimum Qualifications:

Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.

Compensation Range: $17.39 - $24.35

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
