Clinical Associate - Mountain ICU - PT

CLINICAL ASSOCIATE – 8 MICU – PT (Open)

Part‑time, evening/night shifts at 1906 Belleview Ave SE – Roanoke, United States. This role supports the 12‑bed closed ICU focusing on sepsis and septic shock, providing basic clinical services and clerical support.

• Assist patients and visitors with registration and general information.
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinate patient flow using unit‑specific software and intranet.
• Schedule therapeutic and diagnostic procedures for patients.
• Review medical records for pending orders and notify nurses of stat orders or medication changes.
• Clean unit equipment and restock supplies between patients.
• Transport patients, specimens, and equipment within the facility.
• Assist with chart audits and unit‑based patient care tasks as needed.
• Participate in the sitter process and other unit protocols.
• Interact with patients, visitors, physicians and other health professionals.
• Answer incoming calls and route messages via telephone and patient call system.
• Provide scheduling coverage support for department/unit staff scheduling.
• Operate and maintain general office equipment.
• Order and organize department supplies and equipment.
• Act as a resource for department/unit software systems.
• Monitor cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and conduct safety/environmental rounds.
• Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance in the unit.

• Education: High school graduate or GED.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure / Certification: None required; unless in a Critical Access Area where a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
• Other Requirements: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; self‑motivated and organized; knowledge of office procedures and equipment.

• Compensation range: $18.70 – $26.18 per hour.
