Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Opportunity

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient behavioral health team at Carilion Clinic Tanglewood in Roanoke, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a PMHNP who enjoys developing meaningful relationships with patients while providing comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care in a collaborative outpatient environment. With a full-time day shift schedule, this position offers the opportunity to build a rewarding behavioral health career while maintaining a predictable schedule.

As part of Carilion Clinic's behavioral health team, the PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and ongoing medication management for patients in the outpatient setting. You'll work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Diagnosing and treating behavioral and mental health conditions
• Providing medication management and ongoing follow-up care
• Developing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Educating patients and families and supporting them throughout the treatment process
• Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation

What We're Looking For:

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Appropriate Virginia licensure and certification, or eligibility to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
