Pool Clerk

Overview

The City of Roanoke is seeking a Pool Clerk to perform responsible work collecting money, accurately completing paperwork and other records, answering patrons concerns and overseeing the entire admissions and/or concession area for the swimming pools. Does related work as required. Work is performed under the supervision of the pool management and full-time recreation staff.

• Collect money and oversee the admissions and/or concession area for the swimming pools.
• Accurately complete paperwork and other records.

• Work under the supervision of pool management and full-time recreation staff.
• Perform related work as required.

• General knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
• Ability to utilize the city's system for keeping an accurate account of funds.
• Ability to communicate with the general public and other staff in a positive manner.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
• Thorough knowledge of Roanoke City Parks and Recreation Department aquatic rules, regulations and policies.
• Flexible schedule with approximately 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks (daytime, some evenings and weekends).
• Must be a least 16 years old.
