Overview
Performs skilled work in the operation and maintenance of Treetop Quest aerial adventure course. Supervises Aerial Adventure Guides and develops staff schedules. Performs detailed course inspections, maintains usage/equipment/maintenance logs, maintains adventure course gear and hardware, and reports on current or potential future course issues. Provides facilitation and instructional assistance for guests. Maintains a safe and controlled atmosphere to ensure a high quality program that meets county standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

* Hours Required for this position: 15
- Supervises Aerial Adventure Guides and daily adventure course set up/break down, performs visual course inspections, participant safety orientations, on-going participant and environmental observation.
- Evacuates/rescues guests in distress from the aerial adventure course following standardized safety protocols as needed.
- Starts and ends programs on time and returns all resources to their proper locations.
- Welcomes and interacts with guests and coordinates between the front desk and course equipment/briefing area maintaining operational efficiency.
- Performs basic clean-up for all areas of the Treetop Quest aerial adventure course facility including birthday party and observation spaces.
- Interacts spontaneously with participants, guests and the general public at any given time at the park to model a personal and inviting atmosphere.
Required
:
High School diploma or equivalent. Education or training in the assigned area of programming and instruction.
Required
:
Two (2) years of proven work history with adventure/challenge course based programs.
Required
: CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain upon hire
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to supervise and work alongside peers.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of group instruction.
- Ability to lead and teach a variety of group types of all ages.
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions.
- Ability to train and reinforce course operations consistently with current/new staff.
- Ability to be comfortable working off the ground and in the trees.
- Ability to work and manage stressful situations that could directly impact participant safety.
Subject to a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background search with acceptable results. Good physical condition. Following a conditional offer of employment, must pass a post offer physical examination. Must be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays.
Minimum age 18.
