The Commercial Sales Engineer for Data Center Power Solutions bridges the gap between advanced power conversion technologies and strategic business development, helping data center operators, hyperscalers, utilities, and EPC partners deploy reliable, scalable, and efficient power infrastructure solutions. This role combines strong technical knowledge of mission‑critical power systems with a customer‑focused commercial mindset to drive market growth, develop strategic relationships, and support high‑value infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate can confidently engage both technical and executive stakeholders while positioning innovative power solutions that address evolving data center power demands.
- Develop and grow relationships with hyperscalers, data center operators, EPCs, utilities, and strategic partners to drive new business opportunities and long‑term account growth.
- Evaluate customer power requirements, including redundancy, scalability, and distribution needs, to recommend appropriate power conversion solutions.
- Prepare and present techno‑commercial proposals, including solution recommendations, pricing, project timelines, and technical documentation.
- Lead technical and commercial discussions throughout the sales cycle, supporting contract negotiations, bid activities, and project execution coordination.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing pre‑sales and post‑sales support while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies within the data center and mission‑critical power industry to support strategic growth initiatives.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of mission‑critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems, transformers, switch gear, power distribution, and power conversion technologies.
- Familiarity with AC/DC power systems, electrical distribution concepts, and relevant industry safety standards.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure considerations, including redundancy, scalability, and energy efficiency.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, CRM tools (such as Salesforce), and proposal development processes.
