The Senior Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Roanoke, VA, responsible for managing key customer relationships and driving sustainable account growth. In this position, the individual will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, overseeing project timelines, order status, and coordination between sales, engineering, and production teams. Daily responsibilities include developing account plans, preparing quotes and proposals, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring customer requirements are clearly communicated and met.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts, supporting contract negotiations, and resolving issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing in a timely and professional manner. The Senior Account Manager will also contribute to forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

• Demonstrated experience in account management, customer relationship management, or sales within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-focused environments.
• Strong understanding of production processes related to castings, forgings, machining, plastics, and secondary operations, or the ability to quickly learn technical product details.
• Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and presentation, with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear business solutions for diverse stakeholders.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously, including skills in planning, prioritization, and problem-solving under time constraints.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, order management tools, and basic data analysis for forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as engineering, production, quality, and procurement in an on-site manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; previous experience in a senior or lead account management role is highly beneficial.
