** Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol

** Roanoke, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, loading dock, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.

+ Monitor access points and shipping and receiving activity, verifying credentials and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.

+ Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and/or the client contact.

* + A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
