As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Sandy Level, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as utilities and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and support access control activities. This is a driving post. You will also deliver strong customer service while using teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach to support a professional and dependable environment.

Sat 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem‑solving manner and report details according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials when required, and document security‑related events, observations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support emergency response activities by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and assisting with evacuations and/or restricted access procedures when appropriate.

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
