As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Coordinator in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will be an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. The role supports daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while helping create a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report unusual activity to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted behavior and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; assist with access control, loss prevention awareness, and crowd management during busy periods.
- Support opening and closing routines, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas; report maintenance, lighting, or other property-related issues observed during patrols.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
