We are currently seeking applications for the position of Inspector
. This position is responsible for inspecting the installation and maintenance of pipelines and related facilities to ensure required codes, standards and specifications are met.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain safe working conditions at job sites by ensuring that all work follows Company procedures, pipeline code regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors to supervise main and service renewals and new construction projects.
  • Inspect all aspects of project including welding, fusions, air tests, purging, blocks and taps.
  • Complete daily audits on assigned contractor crews.
  • Prepare cost estimates and provide cost analysis in regards to expansion and construction projects.
  • Meet with engineers and/or developers to determine best solution for gas line installation or relocation projects.
  • Coordinate with the GIS department to gather GPS data for mains and services and ensure that project details are appropriately documented.
  • Communicate and coordinate with customers regarding gas service interruptions during renewal projects.
  • Review contractor cost sheets, verify charges, and approve invoices.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years of natural gas field experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable state codes and federal regulations (DOT 192).
  • Experience coordinating construction projects and work crews.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong decision‑making skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to read maps and blueprints and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships with internal/external customers and other entities.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must maintain the ability to pass DOT drug screening.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
