Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) Job OverviewVehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment. The technician performs job duties independently with limited supervision and provides mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C’s as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills
- Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills
- Understanding of tire inflation systems
- Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires
- Basic diagnostic tool skills
- Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
- Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
- Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions for tools, equipment, machinery, and materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment
- Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and vary start and finish times, possibly including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Each technician needs to provide their own tools
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge acquired through 3–5 years of relevant work experience
- D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification

Pay Range: $28.50 – $33.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential. Available Shift: 2nd Shift – Mon‑Fri, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm (Shenandoah Ave).
