PositionHVAC Mechanic (non-exempt)
Primary PurposeThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs HVAC systems. Work may include servicing, troubleshooting and repairing heating and cooling equipment utilized in commercial buildings (i.e., boilers, chillers, split systems, package units, VRF, VAV, and exhaust systems, controls). Assist and lead in installing HVAC and supporting systems used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes.
Essential Functions- Start-Up, diagnose and repair products and equipment related to HVAC commercial systems and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
- Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by coordinating on-site work activities as necessary for client satisfaction
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files utilizing company software on tablet
- Keeps all current manufacturers products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
- Provides technical support to customers
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues and identify solutions.
- Perform quality control tests on completed repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment to complete tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and other technical documents.

This position is classified Full-Time(non-exempt) with some overtime expected. Basic qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; at least 18 years of age
- Minimum 5 years work experience as HVAC Mechanic or similar role with HVAC experience: equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications
- Current valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Perform basic mathematical operations rapidly and quickly
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Effectively operate HVAC equipment and tools;
Provide and properly use basic hand tools as required for task
Successful candidates will also:
- Be reliable and dependable
- Show up engaged to complete work and tasks as expected with an attitude of excellence
- Be flexible, some long days or night shift work may be required
Preferred Candidates will:
- Have certification in sheet metal fabrication or related field
- Experience with HVAC systems installation in commercial/industrial environment

Medium – Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects;
Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds;
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for long periods of time;
Visually see (naturally or with correction);
Work at heights climbing and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds and manlifts.
