The Role

The Industrial Mechanical Foreman is responsible for ensuring quality service and installation for our customers while always promoting safety and leading a crew. Job sites will vary across our industrial customer locations throughout the service area.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote and ensure all partners know Moore's Vision, Mission and Values and are striving to live by these principles.
  • Ensure protection of all partners by making safety our first priority and executing well on all lead measures.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement and the Lean methodology by working closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager and teaching your team to apply Lean principles.
  • Oversee manpower allocation within your area to ensure financial and skillset balance for all projects.
  • Initial scheduling of projects as well as continual monitoring and updating of the schedule.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers. Market Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. to our clients and keep an ear to the ground for upcoming work.
  • Correct job set‑ups utilizing task codes.
  • Maintain a change‑order log.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are being used efficiently and cared for on the job site.
  • Coordinate with the Tool and Equipment Department to ensure jobs have adequate tools and equipment in working order, and return unused items to the shop in a timely manner.
  • Document all correspondence relating to project matters with an emphasis on avoiding claims and protecting the best interests of Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. and our clients.
  • Keep the Project Manager and Operations Manager informed of major developments, both good and bad, while suggesting improvements to procedures, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Cooperate fully and assist whenever possible with the efforts of other department members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
You Bring
  • 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
  • 2+ years of job‑site leadership experience.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional leadership skills; dedication and patience are key.
  • Able to read and interpret all job‑site documentation with no supervision.
  • Ensure installations are done per job documents and drawings.
  • Provide a safe job site for yourself and your team.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Smart Sheets.
  • Lift up to 85 pounds.
  • Able to handle and control tools or equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to weather.
  • Ability to work at heights from ladders, lifts, and/or scaffolding.
  • Ability to work in cramped, awkward, and/or confined spaces while kneeling, bending, crouching, or stooping for prolonged periods.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
