Performs unskilled and skilled work in the repair, maintenance, construction, and installation of water and sewer lines and facilities. Operates dump truck, loader, and combination sewer cleaner, along with manual and power tools. Provides services and minor repairs to equipment. Works varied shifts including standby and emergency hours. Holds a Class A commercial driver's license with air brake/tanker endorsements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Repair, maintain, and construct water and sewer facilities and lines.
- Operate dump truck, loader, and combination sewer cleaner in repair and maintenance operations.
- Operate hydraulic and power equipment such as hand tools, pumps, air compressors, saws, jumping jacks, generators, and chainsaws.
- Perform general labor tasks.
- Install and repair water and sanitary sewer lines.
- Troubleshoot and install pipe components.
- Service and make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
- Work varied shifts including standby and emergency hours as required.

- Work varied shifts, including standby hours, as assigned.
- Meet all requirements for UCT Tech II as stated in the Field Operations Supplemental Guidelines.
High school graduation or GED equivalent required. Previous experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Valid Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and other appropriate endorsements for a minimum of 30 days.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment. No more than six demerit points on the driving record if required to drive company vehicles.
- Walk, stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear while performing duties.
- Perform repetitive movements using equipment.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb, balance, or crawl as required.
- Stand for extended periods at job sites.
- Walk several miles during the day.
- Reach overhead regularly.
- Lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Exposure to moderate or high noise levels, extreme weather, uneven or slippery terrain, dust, wet or humid conditions.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment operation.
- Roadway hazards, including traffic.
- Outdoor hazards such as poison ivy, bees, spiders, animals, or other natural conditions.
- Confined spaces such as sewer manholes, water vaults, wastewater pits, and protected trenches.
