Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, and install various sheet metal products and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems and contribute to the success of our projects.

Salary: $28–$35 per hour

• Install and repair ductwork and sheet metal components according to plans, specifications, and contracts
• Work with various duct joints, including slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required
• Install equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, and fan power boxes used in commercial and industrial construction
• Prioritize safety during all work activities, including the use of hand tools
• Determine project requirements by interpreting blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions
• Inspect completed work to ensure precision, quality, and compliance with project standards

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; at least 18 years of age
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
• Current valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations quickly and accurately
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience in operating sheet metal machinery and tools, with a willingness to provide and use basic hand tools as required for tasks

• Hold certification in sheet metal fabrication or a related field
• Have experience with HVAC systems installation
