Electrician

We are an employee‑owned Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractor with over seventy years of experience delivering exceptional quality and value in Roanoke and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a skilled Electrician to plan and execute the layout of new or modified electrical installations in accordance with specifications, plan drawings, diagrams, and local electrical codes. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Salary: $28 - $35 per hour.

• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Install electrical equipment, outlet boxes, wiring devices, and lighting fixtures.
• Terminate motorized equipment and use testing devices to inspect and identify electrical problems and components.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install various types of raceway systems; pull, test, and terminate wire and cable.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electrical equipment, devices, and lighting fixtures.
• Operate excavation equipment (e.g., trencher, mini‑excavator, backhoe) and bucket trucks.
• Use hand and power tools to repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Direct and train workers in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical wiring or equipment.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Current valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations quickly and accurately.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code and experience with electrical installations and repairs.
• Ability to provide and properly use basic hand tools as required for tasks.

• Hold certification in the electrical field.
• Have experience in electrical construction or industrial roles.
