Low Voltage Technician based out of Roanoke, VA.

Travel will be required depending on project assignments.

Pay Range: $25-$32/ per hour

The Low Voltage Technician performs preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of structured cabling, fire alarm systems, CCTV/IP video, access control, and other low-voltage systems. Travel is expected based on project needs.

• Install, program, and commission low-voltage systems including access control, CCTV/IP video, structured cabling, and related technologies
• Clearly communicate system status, updates, and needs with team members
• Work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Set goals, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial low-voltage cabling and installation
  • Willing to train the right applicant
• Effective communication skills and strong computer proficiency
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background requirements
• Programming experience preferred

• Strong troubleshooting skills with systematic, timely, and effective problem-solving
• Proper and safe use of tools and equipment
• Professional, customer-focused service experience
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Maintain professionalism when facing disruptions or changing priorities
• Capable of performing tasks safely in commercial environments

This position may require:

• Driving or riding in a vehicle for extended periods
• Outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment
• Sitting, standing, climbing, talking, hearing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and performing physical work in challenging field conditions
• Exposure to typical construction materials and chemicals, requiring safety data sheet knowledge
