Job Summary

Responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks and pinpoint safety risks and precautions needed to eliminate those risks.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as rules, conduit benders, Chicago Benders, and dual‑trigger bandsaws.
  • Build closets (mount and install backboards), install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required.
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plastibond, and PVC conduit.
  • Use mechanical benders and hydraulic benders (1 1/2” – 4”) to fabricate and install conduit supports.
  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
  • Assume responsibility for effective crew performance; provide necessary training, coordinate personnel, and schedule to complete projects.
  • Fully complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and other required documents).
  • Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and capable of creating, developing, and implementing project process improvements.
  • Experienced in climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
  • Promotes company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
  • Acts as liaison for interface with customer representatives.
  • Possesses proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, and effective reading, writing, and oral presentation skills.
  • Able to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces; lifts up to 50 pounds and moves up to 75 pounds.
  • Travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
  • Regular attendance is mandatory.
Tools
  • Screwdrivers (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle‑nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 0–2 years of experience as an electrician or in a related technical field, with demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Proficiency with the listed tools.
  • Proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Meets company minimum driving standards.
Salary

Min: USD $21.00/hr.

Max: USD $25.00/hr.
