As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites to ensure safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training is provided. Your main duties include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, and removing traffic control equipment. You will guide traffic using stop/slow paddles, monitor site activity, and adhere to all safety procedures learned during training.
Additional responsibilities involve communicating effectively with your crew and supervisor, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Flexibility in shift times, including potential nights, weekends, or emergency work, is necessary. The role demands standing or walking for extended periods and lifting 40-50 pounds. Safety gear such as a hard hat, goggles, vest, whistle, walkie-talkie, and weather-appropriate clothing are provided;
steel-toe boots are your responsibility.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long durations

- Pass pre-hire screening, including drug testing

The role offers pay between $17.00–$17.75 per hour, with overtime opportunities and pay increases in the first year. Paid training, a traffic safety certificate, and benefits such as paid time off, holidays, sick leave, health insurance, 401(k), employee assistance, and referral bonuses are available for eligible employees. Opportunities for advancement include roles like Senior Protector, Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, and Manager.
