Responsibilities
- Collect money and accurately complete paperwork and other records.
- Answer patrons’ concerns and oversee the entire admissions and/or concession area for the swimming pools.
- Perform related work as required under the supervision of pool management and full‑time recreation staff.
- General knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
- Ability to utilize the city’s system for keeping an accurate account of funds.
- Ability to communicate with the general public and other staff in a positive manner.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Thorough knowledge of Roanoke City Parks and Recreation Department aquatic rules, regulations and policies.
Flexible schedule: approximately 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks (daytime and some evenings and weekends). Minimum age 16 years.
