Truck Driver - Class A Hazmat

Compensation

• Earn $86,000 to $92,000 annually (based on shift)
• Monday through Friday
• Reimbursement provided
• Home daily

• Monday through Friday, some Saturdays required as needed
• AM & PM dispatch available

• Perform multi-stop deliveries to VA, KY, MD, WV, TN, NC
• Unload trailer using electric pallet jacks
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Hazmat endorsement required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required (or ability to obtain)
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Work required schedule, location and complete Penske employment application, background investigation and drug screening
• Ability to work in a state of constant alertness and safety, accepting responsibility for own and others’ safety

• The associate must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit and use hands to touch, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
• Must legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
