CDL Truck Driver - Class A

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Virginia.

Rogers Group is currently seeking experienced CDL Truck Driver in Roanoke, VA. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience driving a lowboy and operating some equipment. They must possess a strong commitment to safety excellence. This individual must be safe, self-motivating, have a clean driving record, Class A CDL and prior experience.

The lowboy driver is responsible for using the lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from various job sites, and in transporting heavy equipment needing repair to the shop.

Responsibilities:

* Be familiar with quarry operations

* Provide support on scheduled weekends running lowboys, tankers, and assistance to dump trucks and incident investigations as needed

* Loading, unloading, escorting, and transporting heavy equipment to designated locations.

* Experience securing Heavy Equipment properly prior to transport

Qualifications

* Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

* Motivated - self-starter, able to complete tasks without a large amount of direct supervision.

* Knowledgeable of DOT regulations and monitoring changes.

* Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.

* Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.

* Team player.

* Valid CDL-A license.

* Safe driving record.

* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

* Required Valid CDL Class A driver's license, Tanker Endorsement (Preferred)

* Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with safe driving history

Physical Requirements:

* Possess physical strength, stamina, and coordination to complete assigned duties

* Must be able to carry up to 50lbs independently

* Constant climbing up and down, using three points of contact.
