Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Roanoke, VA. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.52 - $0.55 per mile with  miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $19.05 per stop with 3-7 stops per week
• Nights out: 3-4 times per week
• Safety Bonus: $500 four times a year (every quarter)
• Loyalty Bonus: $1,750 at 6 months and $1,750 at 1 year
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday - Friday
• Start time: AM or PM dispatch

• Deliver SOLO to MI, WI, KS, PA, NJ, NY (excluding NYC), SC, NC, OH, FL, IN, KY, TN, and GA
• Tractor type: sleeper
• Trailer type: 53' dry van, curtainside, flatbed
• Freight: touch–molding and building products
• Load securement: strap and bungee down
• Must have 1 year of flatbed experience
• Cannot accept auto restriction

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and standards
• Detecting, eliminating, or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading per customer
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer
