Driver Class B HAZMAT Truck Driver / Equipment Operator, Roanoke, VA. Trainer at Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company.

• Operate light and heavy‑duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites (vacuum trailer, roll‑off trailers, van trailers, box trucks, high‑powered vacuum loaders).
• Drive and assist with hazardous waste clean‑up operations.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other requirements.
• Observe company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be available on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week; site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Tanker/Hazmat endorsement required.
• Experience using mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34).

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Previous manual labor experience.

Hourly Range – $25.00 – $28.00.

All new hires must attend a two‑week training academy. Travel expenses are paid by the company and a per diem is provided.
