CDL Truck Driver - Class A

Overview

Rogers Group is currently seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver in Roanoke, VA. The successful candidate will have prior experience driving a lowboy and operating some equipment, a strong commitment to safety, a safe driving record, and a valid Class A CDL. Prior experience with lowboy trailer operation is required.

• Operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites and to move equipment needing repair to the shop.
• Be familiar with quarry operations.
• Provide support on scheduled weekends by operating lowboys, tankers, and assisting dump trucks, as well as participating in incident investigations as needed.
• Load, unload, escort, and transport heavy equipment to designated locations.
• Secure heavy equipment properly prior to transport.

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence; self-starter and able to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and monitoring of changes.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends; team player.
• Valid CDL-A license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Required:
  
  Valid CDL Class A driver’s license;
  Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with a safe driving history.

• Possess physical strength, stamina, and coordination to complete assigned duties.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs independently.
• Constant climbing up and down, with three points of contact.
