Job SummaryThe Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials to customer locations and job sites while providing excellent customer service. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the CMC Supply reputation. Drivers are also responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and ensuring they remain in safe, working condition.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare trucks, equipment, and materials prior to each delivery run
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure safe operation, proper loading, and compliance with company policies
- Verify load accuracy and correct any discrepancies before departure
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in accordance with all company fleet policies and local regulations
- Deliver materials to customer locations in a timely and professional manner
- Unload materials at customer-designated locations safely and accurately
- Inspect delivered materials for accuracy and damage prior to obtaining proof of delivery
- Obtain customer signatures and collect payments (COD) when required
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery documentation
- Perform post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate customer concerns, delivery issues, or service needs to supervisor
- Submit all required paperwork and payments in a timely manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum of 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Valid driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Plus positive points required
Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with all local and company policies
DOT Medical Card required and ability to pass required physical
Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50–75 pounds regularly
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service
Successful completion of background check (no history of violence or theft)
Negative pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana
