CDL Class A ​/Heavy Equipment Operator

The CDL Operator performs equipment operation and field support duties while alsooperating Commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and crews for railroad mechanical, maintenance, and E&C operations. This position requires advanced driving skills, equipment knowledge, anda high levelof safety compliance.

• Valid Class A /B Commercial Driver’s License

• Acceptable driving record per DOT and company standards

• Experienceoperatingheavy construction or railroad equipment

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions

• Willingness to travel and work variable schedules

• Railroad contracting or heavy civil construction experience

• Experience hauling oversized loads or specialized equipment

• Railroad safety certifications or willingness to obtain

• Combination of CDL driving and active field equipment operation

• Outdoor railroad environments with exposure to traffic, trains, and heavy equipment

• Physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions

• Operate heavy construction and maintenance equipment on railroad projects

• Drive Class A CDL vehicles including tractor-trailers and lowboys

  Drive Class B CDL Grapple Trucks to load material

• Transport heavy equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites

• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections andmaintainDOT-required logs

• Secure and load equipment in compliance with DOT regulations

• Assistcrews with construction, maintenance, and mechanical tasks

• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues

• Follow FRA, DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations

• Maintainjobsitecleanliness and organization

• Perform other duties as assigned
