We are seeking a reliable Temporary CDL Class A Driver to provide vacation coverage for a short-term assignment from May 26 through May 29. This position involves evening driving of an 18-wheeler, transporting a full load to a site in Tennessee, then returning with an empty trailer back to our job site in Roanoke, VA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CDL driver looking for a well-paying, short-term assignment.
Responsibilities- Safely operate a Class A 18-wheeler
- Transport a full load to a designated site in Tennessee
- Return an empty trailer to Roanoke, VA
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies
- MUST have current DOT Medical Card
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as required
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean or acceptable MVR
- Ability to safely operate an 18-wheeler
- Dependable and punctual for evening start times
- Prior CDL driving experience required
- Available all four dates: 10/5 - 10/9
- $26 per hour
- Short-term, clearly defined assignment
