Position – Distribution Center Associate
Overview – The DC Associate will perform operational activities within a Distribution Center warehouse to achieve efficient and accurate fulfillment of customer orders and receipt of replenishment product.
Responsibilities- Operate various MHE (Material Handling Equipment) safely and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products.
- Unload and put-away product using RF (radio frequency) technology.
- Inspect inbound for overages and shortages (OSD).
- Pick and stage product; load trucks.
- Maintain organization of product in the warehouse.
- Assist center to optimize operations and customer service to achieve the business plan and DC profitability.
- Participate in cycle count or physical inventory as required.
- Maintain a clean work area and assist in overall sanitation of the DC.
- Complete MHE reports as required by company policy and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other tasks as defined by Supervisor or Center Manager; abide by all federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements:
- Forklift certification preferred
- Experience with RF scanners preferred
- Safety-first mentality
- Prior distribution center experience preferred
- Prior material handling equipment experience preferred
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively; may also lift more than 50 lbs occasionally
