Warehouse Operator - Receiving and Warehouse 1st shift
This role is an Onsite Role requiring full-time presence at our Roanoke, VA office.
The Warehouse Operator will operate the swing reach truck and handle putaway and replenishment out of the high rack warehouse. The duties include removing materials from high rack storage, staging in the P&D area, performing required WM system transactions using RF scanning equipment, operating all equipment (stand‑up reach truck, counter balance sit‑down, and pacer trucks) based on established KPI standards, and utilizing a Radio Frequency handheld terminal for inventory transactions.
The operator will conduct item and location inquiries, verify incoming finished goods, confirm replenishment moves, perform putaway moves, pallet consolidation, put‑backs, and troubleshoot inventory issues. Additional responsibilities include completing documentation such as correction sheets, part carton labels, writing up damages, troubleshooting problem pallets, and working with the inventory department to conduct cycle counts and location verification counts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or secondary GED desired.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet on a platform connected with a harness only.
- Must be ambidextrous with both hands and feet.
- Must be able to work in above average temperatures.
- At least two years of experience operating a Raymond reach truck with no accidents or safety violations recorded.
- The ability to deal with confinement on swing reach trucks and narrow aisles for extended periods.
- Good mathematical, computer, and inventory skills with an understanding of warehouse operations in order to resolve issues.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs over an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work overtime and long hours when required, including weekends.
- Must be willing to work with hazardous materials and be trained to understand all regulations and procedures concerning hazardous material.
- Receive training in 40 CFR 262.17 as applicable in the role.
Shift hours:
Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.

The base pay range for this position is $19.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short‑term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees are covered by the company‑paid basic life insurance policy and company‑paid short‑term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled). Employees are also able to enroll in our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan.
Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro‑rated based on date of hire for the first year of employment, and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
