Facility and LocationFacility: Good Samaritan Society – Specialty Care Community, Robbinsdale, MN.
Address: 3815 W Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN 55422, USA.
Shift: Friday and Saturday evenings, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.
Schedule: Part‑time, 16 hours per week.
Salary: $20.91–$25.74 per hour.
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled shifts in a long‑term care setting. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The NA supports residents in physical, emotional, and daily health needs, and is an integral member of the nursing team.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and other personal care activities.
- Collect vital signs and document findings; record and report changes in resident condition to charge nurse.
- Assist with meals and snacks, ensuring a positive dining experience and timely provision of water and supplements.
- Help residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using correct techniques and equipment; perform range‑of‑motion and passive exercises.
- Support basic health care tasks such as specimen collection and routine data entry.
- Prepare food, maintain housekeeping and laundry services, and keep residents’ living areas clean and safe.
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs; document engagement.
- Assist nursing staff with procedures as needed and maintain accurate resident interaction logs.
- Participate in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as required.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred but not required).
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; must complete certification within four months of hire or be enrolled in a training program.
- Maintain yearly competency testing, 12 hours of continuing education annually, and all required department certifications.
- For applicable states, registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
- Must meet medical requirements for essential driving functions if the position requires vehicle use.
