Interventional Radiology (IR) / Critical Care RN
We are seeking a highly skilled, adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) with strong critical care roots to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) team. In this role, you will provide holistic, high-level nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Leveraging your ICU or Emergency Department background, you will execute the full nursing process—assessing, diagnosing, planning, and managing patient care in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong clinical judgment, rapid‑response critical care capability, and an exceptional patient‑first approach.
Key Responsibilities:- Procedural Support & Care: Monitor, sedate, and support patients before, during, and immediately following complex interventional radiology procedures.
- Critical Care Oversight: Utilize critical care expertise to rapidly assess clinical changes, manage advanced IV therapies, and coordinate emergency interventions if required.
- Care Plan Management: Formulate, evaluate, and dynamically revise individualized, multidisciplinary plans of care for a diverse adult patient population.
- Collaboration & Delegation: Direct and delegate clinical activities to assistive personnel, while working collaboratively with interventional radiologists, technologists, and anesthesia teams.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, precise medical records of patient status, medications, and procedural events (utilizing Epic EMR).
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience & Clinical Background:
- Critical Care Baseline: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated Critical Care experience (ICU or Emergency Department) [Required].
- Specialized
Experience:
Prior experience working directly in Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing [Required]. - Patient Demographics: Proven competency caring for adult and geriatric patient populations [Required].
- Clinical
Experience:
Prior experience handling stroke patients is highly preferred. - Technology: Proficiency with Epic EMR is highly preferred.
Certifications:
- RN Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing [Required].
- Life Support
Certifications:
Active, verified certifications in hand through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) [Required].- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
