Assistant Store Manager

We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

• Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
• Organize and move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays.
• Assist with ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits & receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, keeping sales floor well‑stocked and stockroom organized.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow company policies.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Clean and maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, interpreting, and explaining operational directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug‑store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
