Sr QA Specialist How will you fit in the big picture?
The Digital Systems Specialist (DSS) plays a critical role in supporting the Robinson, IL manufacturing facility—a high‑speed, team‑oriented site producing some of Hershey’s most loved products. As the on‑site IS partner, you will help enable reliable plant operations by serving as the first point of contact for system‑related needs while collaborating closely with plant teams and Corporate IS.
What will you do?- Provide on‑site monitoring and support for plant IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, and network systems.
- Support OT systems such as virtual environments, thin clients, system imaging, backups, and plant‑floor hardware.
- Partner with Corporate IT to implement hardware, software, and network initiatives.
- Deliver responsive end‑user support for plant applications, access requests, and troubleshooting needs.
- Assist in training users and coordinating with the IT Help Desk to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Support disaster recovery processes and ensure backup programs align with company standards.
- Maintain oversight of plant computer rooms, data closets, and overall system reliability.
Education: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant IT/OT support experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
Additional Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of PCs, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Understanding of Windows operating systems (desktop and server).
- Familiarity with networking concepts, security, and firewall configurations.
- Exposure to virtual environments (VMs, VLANs, thin clients).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to support plant operations, including occasional on‑call needs.
