IT Systems Engineer

Client is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to support the Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure environment at the Robinson Refinery. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical OT systems that enable day-to-day refinery operations. The role requires a self-driven professional capable of managing projects, coordinating across multiple refinery departments, and ensuring adherence to operational standards and processes.

• 5-10 years of IT infrastructure experience preferred (manager may consider candidates with slightly less experience, but not entry-level IT professionals).
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server
• Windows Desktop environments
• Backup solutions
• Network infrastructure
• Experience supporting or working within manufacturing, refinery, industrial, or operational technology (OT) environments strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Proven project coordination skills with the ability to interact effectively across Operations, Maintenance, Controls, and other refinery business units.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established standards, procedures, and operational processes.

• Manufacturing, chemical plant, refinery, energy, utilities, or other industrial operations experience.
• Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments and critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience supporting highly available production systems.

• Support and maintain refinery Operational Technology infrastructure.
• Administer Windows-based server and desktop systems.
• Manage backups and infrastructure reliability.
• Support networking and virtualized environments.
• Coordinate technology projects across refinery departments.
• Ensure compliance with site standards, procedures, and technical requirements.
• Provide ongoing operational support for systems critical to refinery production.
